MIKE WINGERT
“Some would say it’s a miracle I made it to 50.”
Born on February 2, 1976, in New Haven, Connecticut, Mike’s story didn’t start easy. His mother spent most of her pregnancy on bedrest after four miscarriages before him. From the beginning, the odds weren’t in his favor — but he showed up anyway. And he’s been fighting ever since.
Growing up, Mike excelled in math and science. School came naturally, even when life didn’t. After graduating, he went on to the Baran Institute of Technology for Automotive Technology, earning a 4.0 GPA from ’96 to ’98. But grades weren’t the whole story.
Because before adulthood settled in, Mikey lived fast. Sixteen years old, working, wrenching, racing cars, drinking, smoking, partying — the whole “young and wild” chapter. He’ll tell you himself: it’s a miracle he made it out of his teens, let alone to 50.
But he did.
And at 21, he made the move that changed everything: He left Connecticut and started over in Michigan.
He left most of the party life behind. He made friends. Lost some. Grew up. Built a life. And eventually found the woman who would become the “BW” in MWBW — Bonnie Wingert.
Between the two of them, they’ve raised a blended family of six: Michael (29), Shaun (24), Dylan and Rebecca (21), Adrianna (19), and Devon (18). All adults now. All part of the story.
Today, Mike works as a Regional Straight Truck Driver for Sameday Delivery — long hours, long roads, and not a lot of free time. But in the little time he does have, he’s building something he believes in:
MWBW Apparel and More.
Not a giant corporation. Not a get‑rich‑quick scheme. Just something sustainable. Something honest. Something that can support the future he and Bonnie are trying to build.
A brand with heart. A brand with purpose. A brand built by a man who’s lived enough life to know what matters.
Mikey isn’t chasing fame or fortune. He’s chasing stability. Legacy. And the quiet pride of building something real with his own two hands.
